The Department of Cultural Promotion organized the “Thai and Social Etiquette to International Standards” workshop for students on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM at Assumption University, Suvarnabhumi Campus, Samut Prakan Province.
Under the direction of the Director-General of the Department of Cultural Promotion, the Institute of Cultural Studies (via the Values and Thainess Group) hosted the workshop in collaboration with Assumption University. Ms. Piyanun Sarobol, Department Chair of General Education, Faculty of Arts, Assumption University, delivered the welcome remarks.
The event featured four distinguished experts and board members specializing in the promotion and dissemination of Thai values and culture for Fiscal Year 2026, along with lecturers from Assumption University, who served as main speakers:

Mr. Bunterng Phiankha, Director of the Values and Thainess Group, along with officers from the Institute of Cultural Studies, also served as assistant workshop facilitators.
The workshop brought together 100 Thai and international students along with 10 faculty members, totaling 110 participants.
This initiative aimed to enhance knowledge and understanding of Thai and social etiquette among Assumption University students and faculty. It encouraged students to acquire key life skills, appreciate diverse aspects of Thai culture, and apply proper etiquette appropriately in their daily lives.
