Students enrolled in JA3727: Japanese for Hotel Services in the first semester of 2026 visited Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok to experience a professional hospitality environment firsthand and participate in table manners training related to food and beverage service.
Located next to Lumpini Park, the hotel features innovative architectural design that blends beautifully with nature and provides a welcoming environment for our small-group academic visit.
During the visit, the students received practical guidance from the Training Manager on important points to consider when serving food and beverages. They also explored the hotel’s state-of-the-art fitness facilities and toured luxurious yet environmentally conscious guest rooms, gaining firsthand insight into the hotel’s approach to wellness and hospitality.
This week, the students reflected on what they had learned through group presentations in class. Based on their post-visit reports, they presented their observations on topics including the hotel’s facilities and environment, food and table manners training, staff professionalism, and the relationship between wellness and hospitality.
Through this valuable learning experience, the students gained a deeper understanding of professional hospitality and how hotels respond to the diverse needs of international guests, including Japanese business travelers.
We sincerely thank Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok and all its staff, especially Ms.Chalatip Mahuanmalin, Training Manager, for their warm welcome, generous support, and for providing our students with such a meaningful learning opportunity.
