On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, the faculty hosted the Overseas Thai Culture Tour for Japanese Students, welcoming a delegation of 8 junior high and high school students (Grades 7–11 / M.1–M.5) and 4 accompanying teachers from Asahijuku Secondary School in Okayama, Japan and Assumption Samutprakarn School.
Running from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, the initiative provided Japanese students with hands-on exposure to Thai cultural heritage while offering an immersive look at university campus life to assist with their future higher education planning after graduation.
Key Program Highlights Included:
– Traditional Thai Crafting: A hands-on workshop making woven Pla Taphean (woven palm leaf fish) keychains.
– Thai Performing Arts: Interactive sessions introducing basic traditional Thai dance movements (Ram Thai).
– Language Engagement: Fun interactive activities and language-building games.
Throughout the day, visiting students engaged enthusiastically in every session, gaining meaningful cross-cultural experiences, firsthand insights into Thailand’s rich heritage, and dynamic connections with the university community.
