At the St. Martin Center for Professional Ethics, we envision our students and graduates to become individuals grounded in moral character, guided by integrity, and driven by a deep sense of social responsibility. Our mission is rooted in fostering ethical awareness, encouraging critical reflection, and promoting justice in both personal and societal contexts.

We are committed to cultivating future leaders who not only excel academically and professionally, but who also uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct. Through values-based education, we aim to shape a community of individuals who contribute meaningfully to society and uphold the dignity of every person they encounter.

Our center responds to AU’s unique identity by embedding ethics education into every student’s journey.

Through interactive seminars and interdisciplinary dialogue, we focus on:

  • Cultivating students to be morally responsible individuals
  • Fostering values of integrity, discipline, and social consciousness
  • Encouraging cognitive moral reasoning and ethical maturity
  • Promoting gender equality, animal rights, and environmental awareness
  • Encouraging discussion on current moral issues
  • Exchanging perspectives across diverse cultures
