Making English Count: Arts AU Shares CEFR Strategies in Samut Prakan
On August 30, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rosukhon Swatevacharkul from the English Language Teaching (ELT) Program, Graduate School of Human Sciences, and Dr. Nida Boonma, Director of the Institute for English Language Education (IELE), Theodore Maria School of Arts, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) , were invited by the Office of Samut Prakan Primary Education Service Area 2 to deliver a special talk at Dhonburi Rajabhat University, Samut Prakan.
The session was part of the project “Enhancing English Skills to Improve Learning Outcomes through the CEFR Framework”. Its primary aim was to strengthen the capacity of English teachers and school administrators in aligning classroom practices with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
During the program, the speakers introduced Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) as a key approach to achieving CEFR standards, highlighting practical strategies to ensure that students develop English proficiency that meets international benchmarks.
Nearly 80 school directors participated in the event, reflecting a strong commitment to advancing English education and improving overall learning outcomes across the Samut Prakan Primary Education Service Area 2.
