Congratulations to the Department of Business Japanese, Theodore Maria School of Arts students who won the creative activity award in the 𝑼𝑵𝑰𝑽𝑬𝑹𝑺𝑰𝑻𝒀 𝑺𝑨𝑵𝑫𝑩𝑶𝑿 zone at SIAM J-SHOW 2024! They showcased exceptional creativity and potential.
Their impressive works beautifully highlighted various aspects of Japanese culture, such as Kendama (a traditional game that trains concentration and precision through ball control), Origami (the art of paper folding), and the legend of 1,000 cranes, believed to bring healing and protect against misfortune. They also introduced the Tanabata Festival🎋, celebrated on the 7th day of the 7th month. During Tanabata, people write their wishes on colorful Tanzaku paper and hang them on bamboo trees, hoping their wishes will come true. The festival is rooted in the story of two star-crossed lovers, Orihime (the Weaver Star) and Hikoboshi (the Cowherd Star), who are allowed to meet once a year across the Milky Way, symbolizing hope, love, and the fulfillment of dreams.
